The Coffee Pot, believed to be the only working steam railcar of its type, provides a unique experience for travellers. The Coffee Pot was built in England in 1905, and from 1906 to 1932 - its entire working life - it was based at the Quorn Depot. It was mainly used on a weekly service between Quorn and Hawker. It was also hired by school, church and sporting groups, often travelling to Port Augusta on the track it now uses over 70 years later. Steam Motor Coach No.1, affectionately known as the Coffee Pot, celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2006. It will run a series of luncheon specials, before retiring for a major overhaul at the end of 2006.
Coffee Pot Luncheon SpecialTravel the Coffee Pot to the beautifully restored Old Willows Brewery Restaurant in the Pichi Richi Pass for a delicious lunch, then continue on to Woolshed Flat before returning to Quorn.
